UGC NET is a test being conducted in online mode to determine the eligibility ‘only for Assistant Professor’ and ‘for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor both’ in Indian Universities and Colleges. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting UGC-NET to the NTA established by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI).

  • NTA UGC NET June 2020 Exam Online Registration has been extended till 31st                        May 2020

NTA UGC NET June 2020 Exam

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting UGC-NET to the NTA. UGC-NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Assistant Professor & Junior Research fellowship both in college and university.

 

UGC NET 2020 Minimum Educational Qualification Requirement

·         Candidates who are pursuing their master’s degree or equivalent courses or,
·   Candidates who have appeared for their qualifying master’s degree (Final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed can appear in the UGC NET June 2020 Examination.
·      Those candidates who have already passed their master’s degree can also appear in the UGC NET June 2020 Examination.

Exemption available for the eligibility for assistant professor

For NET/SET/SLET Candidates:

·          The Candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulation Act 2009, shall be exempted from minimum eligibility condition of  NET/SLET/SET for Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Universities and Colleges.
·      The candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in NET.

For SET Candidates:

·         The candidates who have cleared the States Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for Assistant Professor held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET, and are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor anywhere in India.
·         For SET held from 1st June 2002 onwards, the qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/colleges situated in the State from where they have cleared their SET.

UGC NET 2020 Online Application Form

Candidates can apply to the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) and fill the online application form there only from 16th March 2020 to 31st May 2020.
You have to fill UGC NET 2020 Online Form at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. 
Here you can find the step by step process to complete the UGC NET Registration 2020.
  §   You have to go to the official website, i.e., ugcnet.nta.nic.in, and click on Apply online to fill  the registration page.
§   Here you have to enter your personal details, email ID, and mobile number.
§   After completion of registration, you will find a system generated application number in your email Id and mobile number.
§   Now you have to login again and select your subject, position, and preferred exam center.
§   In this step, you need to upload your photograph and signature in the specified format. 
§   Now you have to pay the application fee either through debit card/ credit card/ net banking or paytm.
§   In the final step, you have to download a copy of filled application form and e-receipt of fee payment for further reference.

NTA UGC NET June 2020 Exam Pattern

The UGC NET exam has two papers (Paper I & II).
·         NTA UGC NET Paper- I: It is the common paper to all branches. It deals with the general awareness, comprehension, divergent thinking, and reasoning ability of the aspirant.
·         NTA UGC NET Paper-II: Paper 2 will be based on your chosen subject.

UGC NET Previous Year Papers

UGC NET 2020 Exam Centers


UGC NET Exam will be held in 224 cities this June. You have to choose the four exam cities in order of their preference while filling the UGC NET 2020 Application Form. NTA will try to allow the UGC NET Exam Centre based on your preference. But it also reserves the right to allot any exam center other than the ones selected by the candidates.
Sometimes, NTA adds or cancel an exam in any city if the number of applicants for that city is negligible. You must bring your Admit Card, one passport size photo, and an original photo ID proof with its photocopy.

UGC NET 2020 Cut off 


The qualifying marks to clear UGC NET 2020 Exam is different based on the category of the candidates.

UGC NET Result 2020


UGC NET Result for June 2020 session will be released on July 5, 2020(Tentative). You can download the result from the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in by logging in with their registration number and date of birth. It is declared in the form of a scorecard containing marks obtained in both papers for JRF and Assistant Professor.
